I use theraputic grade essential oils internally, topically and inhaled for mood and stress management. Also some ('Brain Power') help processing ability. I use 'Deep Calm' herbal for stress and sleep right now. Other herb blends with Valerian are good too. I had a very effective Kava liquid from Jade but it was discontinued. Others are moderately effective. Kava Guava tea is quite good if I can find that again. Mine was a gift from Hawaii. Any of these can be overdone and affect mental functions like causing drowsiness or less alert to operate whatever. And don't always think of them in time when I am shutting down.

Meditation and spiritual work is effective, like affirmations on card in my pocket. I don't want to numb all my suffering because it would prevent personal growth. It is easier to bear when I know I will be a better person for surviving experiences. I use the book "Healing Power" by Philip Shapiro, MD (Psychiatrist, but one of a kind) right now. I am afraid of mental or medical professionals who want to drug me. Bad experiences
